Brighton & Hove volunteers (BHV)
are part of vinvolved, the new national youth volunteering programme. vinvolved, which has replaced the Millennium Volunteers scheme, is England’s biggest ever youth action operation and aims to inspire half a million young people to volunteer.
v is introducing a new recognition scheme for volunteers aged 16-25, which will celebrate and reward the amazing things that young volunteers can get involved in. The v Awards celebrate the efforts and achievements of volunteers aged 16-25 in England.
If you’re aged between 16 and 25, no matter what your interests are, whether you’ve volunteered before or what kind of skills and experience you have, BHV can help find a volunteer activity that will suit you. Whether you are at school, college, university, working part time or full time, undergoing training or unemployed, we can find something that fits around your spare time and will be in an area that interests you.
Volunteering is a great way to improve your skills and increase your confidence. It can provide the opportunity to try something new and gain work experience and at the same time to help other people in your community.
If you’re an organisation looking to recruit volunteers or receive support in how you work with young volunteers, we can help. We can advertise your opportunities to prospective volunteers. Go to our organisations page.
